Senior Pastor
Reverend Xinwei Lin was born in Fujian, China. He studied at Sichuan University, Wuhan University and Zhongshan University. In 1991, he obtained his Ph.D. and taught at Zhongshan University. Starting in 1994, he did post-doctoral research work in medical physiology in the United States and Canada. In 1999, he and his wife Jun accepted Christ and were baptised here at LCBC. The next year he was called into full-time ministry. He entered Taylor Seminary in 2001 and obtained his Master of Divinity in 2005. In 2004, he was called to establish the Rainbow Christian Church in Calgary. Pastor Lin served at Rainbow for six years until he was called back to LCBC in August 2010 to serve as senior pastor. He and his wife have two sons and one daughter.
English Pastor
Reverend Peter Co was raised in a Chinese Christian family in the Philippines. When he was 13 years-old, he accepted Christ and felt God's call to ministry. He entered seminary at the age of 24. He obtained his Master of Divinity at the Philippines Baptist Theological Seminary. He later served as a crisis counsellor at Emory University Hospital while receiving further training at Columbia Theological Seminary in Atlanta, USA. Pastor Co has served in Chinese, Tagalog and English-speaking churches. He is married to Miriam whom he met in seminary. They have one daughter and one son.
Assistant Pastor (Chinese Ministry)
Pastor Bonnie Xu was born in Beijing, China. In 1981, she graduated from Beijing's Capital Normal University (Bachelor of Philosophy). She then worked as an instructor at a vocational university and as an editor at a national publishing house. In 1995 she immigrated to Canada. She and her husband Charles were baptised here at LCBC in 1998. In 1999, her daughter also accepted Christ and was baptised. She was called into full-time ministry in 2004. In 2006, she completed her Master of Arts in Biblical Studies through the Global Chinese Bible Institute. Pastor Xu started serving at LCBC in 2007 as assistant pastor in the Chinese ministry.
